“I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and mourning will be heard in it no more.”

Meditation:
How many of those there are who suffer, feel burdened and mourn in the great family of our Heavenly Father. How many moans of desperation ascend to Him daily from the sorrowful path each of us must travel before achieving our eternal homeland.

Our children’s tears grieve us, we try to console them and lessen their sorrow with our love. How great will the joy of our Heavenly Father be when the trials of suffering mankind will be over, when all the clouds will finally disperse, when there will be “no weeping or mourning”…”And everlasting joy will crown their heads; they will find gladness and joy, and sadness and sighing will flee away” (Isaiah 35: 10).

The One Who said with such deep compassion to the widow at the gates of Nain, “Don’t cry”, removed all sorrow from his children. The hand that touched the dead son of that widow will wipe away everyone’s tears. And that will be a day of rejoicing in His heart; the work of atonement will be complete, and He will enter His rest.

Child of God, is your path dark and narrow, is your cross heavy, is your burden too much to carry? Do not despair, do not grow weak, “do not avoid trials as something strange to you” (1 Pet. 4: 12). Around you there are many who also suffer, although it seems to you that you are the only one. This path has been blessed by the One Who has already traveled it, bearing His Cross, on a more dismal day than the one which has been sent you.

«И буду радоваться о Иерусалиме, и веселиться о народе Моем; и не будет слышен в нем голос плача и голос вопля» (Ис. 65, 19)

Как много страждущих, обремененных, скорбящих в великой семье нашего Отца Небесного. Сколько отчаянных стонов возносится к Нему ежедневно с того скорбного пути, который каждый из нас должен пройти, прежде чем достигнет вечной своей отчизны.

Слезы детей наших огорчают нас, мы стараемся утешить их и облегчить их горе нашей любовью. Как велика будет радость Отца нашего Небесного, когда окончатся дни испытания страждущего человечества, когда все тучи рассеются окончательно, когда не будет уже «ни плача, ни рыдания»... «И радость вечная будет над головою их; они найдут радость и веселие, а печаль и стенания удалятся» (Ис.  35:10).

Тот, Кто с таким глубоким состраданием сказал вдове у ворот Наина: «Не плачь», - Сам отнял у чад Своих всякую скорбь. Рука, дотронувшаяся до умершего сына той вдовы, утрет всякую слезу с очей всех. И то будет день ликования для Его сердца; дело искупления будет окончено, и Он войдет в покой Свой.

Чадо Божие, скажи, темен, узок ли твой путь, тяжел ли твой крест, не под силу ли тебе твоя ноша? Не унывай, не ослабевай, «не чуждайся испытания, как приключения для тебя странного» (1Пет.  4:12). Вокруг тебя много таких же страждущих, хотя тебе кажется, что ты один. Этот путь освящен Тем, Кто уже прошел по нему, неся Свой Крест, в более мрачный день, чем тот, который тебе послан.
